Nils Aldag rejoins the board of Hydrogen Europe

Brussels, June 27, 2023

The members of Hydrogen Europe have elected six new board members at their general assembly in Brussels. With 45% of the vote, Sunfire CEO Nils Aldag won his category and now represents the group of technology providers.

"I am looking forward to getting more involved in the association again," Nils Aldag commented on the election. "I was involved before hydrogen became mainstream in politics. Today we are at a very different point. The hydrogen economy in Europe is taking shape, and now the course is being set for a successful ramp-up. In this crucial phase we as Hydrogen Europe must be a reliable partner for politics and give a trustworthy voice to the hydrogen economy."

As a board member of Hydrogen Europe, Nils Aldag intends to push for solutions for the financing of hydrogen projects and technologies and for faster planning and approval procedures. "At this crucial stage, I will bring the experience of a company that is going through a rapid scaling process itself," says Sunfire's CEO.

Hydrogen Europe represents the interests of the hydrogen industry and stakeholders, in particular to policy makers. Its more than 400 members represent the entire value chain of the European hydrogen and fuel cell ecosystem. It is Nils Aldag's second term on the Hydrogen Europe Board. He was previously elected in 2016.
