Electrolysis Solutions​

Sunfire’s electrolyzers based on Alkaline and solid oxide (SOEC) technologies are the optimal electrolysis solution for all hydrogen and syngas applications. High temperature SOEC electrolyzers are the preferred choice for industrial applications when steam (and CO2) is available. For all applications without or limited steam availability, Sunfire’s ultra-reliable pressurized Alkaline electrolyzers are the cost-effective solution for hydrogen production.

The established electrolysis solution for renewable hydrogen production in any setting. With several decades of proven system runtime, our Alkaline electrolyzers are the reliable, ready-to-use solution for large hydrogen projects.

Sunfire’s high temperature solid oxide cell electrolyzers (SOEC)

Durability

Alkaline electrolyzers are the rock-solid electrolysis solution with a proven system lifetime of at least 90,000 operating hours. They are ideally suited for any hydrogen project in which reliability and robustness is of elevated importance.

High Pressure

Alkaline electrolyzers deliver hydrogen at a pressure of 30 bar(g). As most hydrogen off-takers require hydrogen at high pressure, the electrolyzers eliminate the need for costly investments into additional downstream compression units.

SOEC Electrolyzers

The game-changing electrolysis solution for industrial settings. Running at 850 °C, SOEC electrolyzers utilize industrial off-heat to process water steam (and CO2) to renewable hydrogen or syngas at lowest electricity costs.

Conversion Effieciency

SOEC electrolyzers target the largest cost driver in hydrogen and syngas production: renewable electricity. By integrating off-heat from industrial processes, our SOECs achieve an electrical efficiency of up to 84 %LHV to AC, realizing substantial savings on renewable electricity.

Co-electrolysis

SOEC electrolyzers can process water and CO2 to syngas – in one single process step. The co-electrolysis capability generates a substantial efficiency and cost advantage over conventional two-step syngas production pathways using a reverse-water-gas-shift reactor.
